actually we had a perfect model for an airhead *ahem* but i won't list it down here. anyway, thinking character design is nuts if I can't draw properly *cries*

i think that Gab and Hikaru's character is fine now...not in detail but i think we shld probably get on with the story so as to sort of develop their character from there. same as for sara, and the airhead....speaking of which......their names...

Hikaru was chosen cos he's a foreign student. Gab....ask hong why he chose the name...but i find that i'm sort of getting used to it, unless u guys have a better name...u know...kat....since u were doing research on names...Sara is also hong's suggestion. initially it was for reference wise, but as the final one it's also fine.

u know as miller was called miller....when that is actually her surname...that name fit her like none other. maybe it didn't sound like a guy's name to us...maybe u could think of some names that can be for girls and boys? or....maybe we should design the girl before giving them the name....after all....whenever i hear the name hikaru i'm reminded of hideaki takizawa....and matsushima nanako calling him in a high pitched voice...."Hikaru! Hikaru!" oh, and Hikaru's meaning has something to do with "light/flame"?

as for the airhead....lemme see...how about an ultra swweeeeet name? Kelly...or Sherry or Kimmy [huh?] or blah blah blah....[i'm having fun here thinking of really girly names....esp kelly...i think one time ekin cheng was in a movie who's character has a girlfriend call kelly....heee....] oh...suddenly i thought of Quinn. lalalalala

anyway, in my opinion, it's rather busy in school right....*nods thoughfully* so this will probably take some time. ganbare minna....

Btw, about Sara...like Kat was suggesting, and I sort of agreed, that she was to be modelled after a classmate of mine, Miller....although I probably can't illustrate to you how Miller is like [maybe cos of the complication of our friendships o_O] I can probably tell u a thing or two. One thing abt this girl was that she was also a sprinter [hurdler]. And she was quite artistic as well. There's another part of her personality that I really can't illustrate to you [I don't know how!] Ultra genki, straightforward, and prone to nonsense...well, I probably can tell u abt her as we develop the story, then.

And the air head part....hehe....well....I suppose she can be a friend of sara, though i really wonder how they'd be getting along...*ponders*

Hey hey - this week has been busy [i'm still doing my director and surfing at the same time ^^] I think we talked abt character design a little...

The thing with me is that I'm relating a lot with my sec sch experience in Cedar [I hope Kat remembers ^^] My friends got into trouble a lot in the past - and there was also the track students, and the strict rules, and the counselling......hehheh...so we'll re-live a little bit on your own secondary school lives yah?

Um, it wouldn't be interesting if the boys aren't delinquents...haha....[i'm reminded of Slam Dunk's sakuragi guntan]. Anyway, I have the idea of modelling Gab after Sugizo - posture and personality wise [his band members say that he's quite a mood swinger]. a closer reference....there are many in NYP...i guess.....*laughs*

if Gab is Sugi....then u can guess who we'd model Hikaru after. *big grin* but i'm not really sure we should do that - Ryu is a little too strong in character - I think Hikaru should be a little bit....quiet. And reserved.

And Sara.... hong said something abt her that makes people think she's aloof. She's pretty but doesn't really care abt her looks [when does that often happen? *pouts*] I'm not sure, but we'll make her do art ^^ who we'll model her after - i don't know....look around, ok? Hai....

Anyway, we also thought of some comic relief....thinking abt the "roommate" part which always happens in movies - whom we call the 'scapegoat' or the 'preacher' hehhehheh.... urm, hong was thinking some zen guy saying some chim philosophy under a coconut tree *speechless : "coconut tree??"* er....we still have time to develop on stuff like that ^^

ah...sindy...abt the oekaki thing - i'm not sure if we could have one attached here....but we can have a separate url or sth? I'm not so sure. This oekaki thing is fun [if I ever get myself to doodle like u, man...] Oh, hey, abt the bishounens....what do you mean u can't draw bishounens??!! *laughs* kidding kidding. Maybe....just maybe, i can help u. Anyone who's an expert in bishounens? *looks eagerly at kat and elliot*

ok, so here's the deal.
Yue and I have sort of talked about the rough storyline [I guess it's unsatisfactory for now, but it will do.]

We picked temporary names for the characters [so that we don't have to go "the straight guy" or "the un-straight guy" ne~]

It will probably stay that name if we don't find a better name, anyway.
So here goes:

1. Hikaru
2. Gabriel
3. Sara<-----like angel sanc ne?

Setting:

Generally the idea was here, in singapore. i hope it won't be cheezy. Anyway, they are a bunch of sec sch kids [the most vulnerable of age?] and the idea was that hikaru is a foreign student. And so after o's [how familiar] they were going to go their separate ways. As all of us do.

ok, so here's what all of us has drawn out [generally]:

-two guys, best friends

-Gabriel saves Sara from being bullied [*this one yet to be....]

-Three of them becomes best friends

-Sara has fallen for Gabriel ever since he saved her

-Hikaru meets Sara thru Gabriel and he becomes interested in Sara

-Hikaru probes about Sara to Gabriel

-Hikaru professes his love for Sara

-Sara reveals her love for Gabriel

-Hikaru confronts Gabriel abt it

-Gabriel reveals all.

-Sara happens to be listening

-The quarrel is left hanging with three of them went separate ways



endings...there's of course a side for the ending....many possible ways of ending this...

The deal is that this story is about Gabriel trying to deal with the fact that he's falling for his best friend - he'd try means and ways to get rid of the feeling - so we'll probably need to put lots of frustration on his part. ^^ I have referenced to a rukawa and sendoh fic, i'll get the link or i'll just put it up somewhere. lastly, ganbatte ne!
Anyway, yue said that he had more ideas, i'll leave him to write about it, ne. One more thing - if this story sounds cheezy - OF COURSE IT SOUNDS CHEEZY! it hasn't been developed yet! So deal with it and figure it out on how to make it not cheezy, kay?

Iyo! i just did this during authoring class since I don't exactly understand what the lecturer is saying. Anyway, I was planning to make this a pinboard for the ideas for the manga. This is the first post - I don't have the materials with me so i'll do it on my second one. Jaa~
